You have done it! By reaching the $12,000 goal you have assured that your food insecure neighbors will shop in their Community Food Pantry with more dignity and they will return to their families and jobs more quickly.

Every dollar you help to raise above the $12,000 goal goes directly to the purchase of food for distribution in the pantry. Often our staff is faced with the decision to not buy food items that are too costly for our budget. We allot approximately $500 per week to shop for food from the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. With that amount we hope to provide for the food needs of the nearly 1,000 households that shop at our pantry each month. The money above the goal for this campaign will allow us to raise that weekly shopping amount and allow us to buy the cereal or canned fruits that are generally too costly for us to purchase. You helped us get the shelves and the shopping carts now your contributions can help put cereal on the shelves and canned fruit in the carts.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Blogger Night at the Food Pantry - Monday June 22 at 6 PM to celebrate and continue our shared work to support our neighbors.

Please share our link http://bit.ly/ReRampPgh and invite your friends to continue supporting our neighbors.

“This crowd funding thing is amazing!!!” In just a few days we reached the $3,000 we needed to get the matching $3,000 corporate match. Our friends and supporters of the food pantry really ROCK! We are well on our way to reaching out goal of $12,000 so that we can “ReRamp” the city’s busiest food pantry and make it possible for our customers to get in and out as quickly as possible so that they can attend to their families and return to their jobs. We are almost there. Your generous donation is going to change lives. Could I ask one more favor? Would you take a minute to share via your own facbook page, twitter account or email list the exciting work being done here at the pantry and the need for just a bit more funding to make the needed changes. We are so close!
