Dear friends and family,
As some of you know, I currently work for a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization called Grateful Hearts. At Grateful Hearts our mission is to provide hope for the hurting by serving those locally and abroad. Recently with the catastrophic flood disaster in Texas that resulted from Hurricane Harvey, we had the opportunity to serve many families by sending pallets of food, toiletries, and clothes through other agencies.
Unfortunately, Hurricane Harvey was not the only hurricane that has cost devastation these past couple of months; Hurricane Jose and Hurricane Maria struck soon after, affecting south of the New England coast and the Caribbean. However, these horrific events have opened up the opportunity for Grateful Hearts to serve families in the community of Juana Dias, located South of the Island of Puerto Rico.
At Grateful Hearts, our team has been very busy working on assembling pallets full of items such as food, water, hygienic products, inflatable mattresses, solar lanterns and more for the precious people of Puerto Rico. I am writing this letter to ask you to join me in the very special mission of delivering these items. I will personally be delivering these items along with my dear coworker and friend Lizbeh Garcia.
I have been to Puerto Rico once before to deliver donations to children in two different residential care facilities. During that mission, not only did I get to meet, bond with, and encourage a very special group of children, but I also had the privilege of meeting a beautiful family (the Garcia Family) who hosted me during my stay and whom I came to love as my own. For this reason, this particular mission is very close to my heart.
I am eager to see first-hand, that the Garcia family is doing well and that they and their community, and perhaps people from the surrounding areas can receive basic necessities (for as you know, most of the island is currently without electricity and many houses lack running water).
If you would like to join me and Grateful Hearts’ mission of providing hope for the hurting by serving those in need locally and abroad, please follow the link bellow.
