I know the title of my fundraiser may make you think I am raising money for some political campaign ; ), but nothing could be farther from the truth. I am raising money for a much worthier cause!
Hope Reins is a nonprofit ranch community that helps kids in crisis find comfort through one-on-one sessions with extraordinary horses, many of which are rescued and faced abuse or neglect themselves. It is the horse’s story of triumph and redemption that resonates with the child and helps them find a path toward healing, forgiveness and hope. All of Hope Reins' services are free of charge. For more information on Hope Reins, www.hopereinsnc.org.
The 2nd Annual Poop-A-thon is a family-friendly fundraising event held at the beautiful 33-acre home of Hope Reins. Structured similarly to a walk-a-thon, participants are asked to raise money in exchange for partaking in a lively morning of good, clean fun at the ranch. The mission: Scoop up funds by shoveling ‘pledged’ piles of manure – which of course you’ll find scenically nestled throughout the pastures, home to our 14-horses.
Help me raise money for these wonderful horses that bring hope and healing to amazing kids! You are also invited to join us Saturday morning, April 30th, 10 AM – NOON, for some old-fashioned merriment, refreshments and fellowship. We’ll be knee-deep in fun!
