Amy's Autoimmune Fight
Organized by: Judy Quinn
We are trying to raise money for Amy to help with her medical bills and living expenses as she tries to get her health stabilized to the point where she can return to the workforce fulltime. Pernicious anemia is manageable with B12 injections for the rest of her life. The rheumatoid arthritis is also manageable with medication. By the time it was discovered that Amy was B12 deficient her health and body deteriorated greatly. She had been incorrectly been being treated for depression, which symptoms often mimics B12 defiancy. It is often difficult for her to move around, some days she can't even walk to the next room without feeling excruciating pain and the chronic fatigue she experiences along with limb and back pain limits her abilities. She also experiences periods of memory loss and confusion, often referred to as 'brain fog'. Latest tests have shown Amy had blood markers for Lupus, another dangerous autoimmune disease that can be debilitating and harder to treat. We're hoping that by catching it early, getting the right medical care, and having the support to be able to take care of herself will help her stabilize her health and get back to loving life. Thank you so for your help and prayers!
