BENEFITING: WATERING HOLE FOUNDATION INC
EVENT DATE: May 21, 2016
My name is Ana Finger. I am a 12 year old girl in 7th grade at Newman school in New Orleans. Please join me in my efforts to save the African elephant! I love elephants and want to share my love for them by raising awareness throughout my age group and beyond. I am working with Alex Beard's Watering Hole Foundation through my mission, Ana’s Army, to raise awareness. Please check out my website, www.anaforelephants.com to learn more. You can also find me on Facebook and Instagram, @anaforelephants.
African elephants are being poached for their tusks at alarming rates. It is estimated that 100 elephants are being poached every day. Ivory is currently worth more than gold on the black market. This makes ivory extremely desirable for poachers, which makes elephants a prime target. If poaching is not stopped, African elephants could be extinct by 2030.
How can you help? Your donation of any amount will go directly to fund anti-poaching efforts in communities in Kenya, as well as planting trees to expand one of the elephant’s last habitats, the Ngare Ndare forest, a world heritage site in Northern Kenya. Join Ana's Army and together let's help save the African elephant! Click on the arrow below my photo for even more information & inspiration.
