Ovarian Cancer took the life of the most important woman in my life, my mom. Her symptoms were present for many years yet because of the lack of education and awareness it went undetected. If caught during its early stages, Stages 1 & 2, chances of survival are very high. My mom's cancer was Stage 4 Metastatic Ovarian Cancer when she was diagnosed. She died 19 months after her diagnosis. 3 out of 4 women diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer will not survive. These numbers are just too high and too many precious lives are at stake.
