BENEFITING: Lymphatic Education & Research Network (LE&RN)
EVENT DATE: Sep 17, 2017
I am proud to be walking in the Annual New York Walk to Fight Lymphedema & Lymphatic Diseases over the Brooklyn Bridge. I have been suffering with LYMPHEDEMA in my right leg for many years. Lymphedema is a disease that affects millions and millions of people. According to The Lymphatic Education & Research Network more Americans suffer from Lymphedema than AIDS, MS, MD, Parkinson's and ALS combined. It is my personal mission to elevate the understanding and awareness of this disease by raising as much money for the organization as possible. I know that every day you are asked to donate to different causes and organizations. I am just asking you to consider this one as well. I am reaching for the stars with my fundraising goal this year. Lymphedema impacts my life every single day and I am one of the lucky ones who has access to the finest network of therapists, doctors and overall information. My dream is to have everyone with Lymphedema have the same access as me. And my biggest dream is that through your research dollars, one day there will be a CURE!!!!
