A Successful Trip
July 12, 2017
BENEFITING: Range Of Motion Project NFP
EVENT DATE: Feb 04, 2017
ROMP believes in the power of education to transform the unequal distribution of prosthetic care in the world. Every year, ROMP's Guatemala program hosts clinical trips with leading orthotic and prosthetic schools to facilitate knowledge exchange between students and and ROMP's local staff.
Under faculty supervision, students and ROMP clinicians work side by side with real patients in our Guatemala clinic- exchanging ideas, sharing clinical techniques, and working to improve patient outcomes.
Educating future clinicians to the realities of disability care in resource poor settings makes them better medical professionals and advocates. Exposing ROMP staff to the latest clinical techniques makes them better clinicians resources for our patients. It is a win, win for all involved.
Each dollar raised will help ROMP continue to deliver high-quality prosthetic care. By donating to your "someone", who is involved with ROMP, you are helping create mobility for thousands of amputees living without care globally.
