Please join us to help raise both awareness and critically needed research dollars! Recent groundbreaking research and clinical trials are offering hope to individuals with Fragile X. As many as 1 out of 130 women are carriers of the Fragile X gene and are at risk.
In addition to our search for a cure, we are raising funds to provide Fragile X experts to our families, teachers and therapists. Our children will then receive the most current and appropriate therapeutic/teaching strategies.
Fragile X syndrome (FXS) is the most common cause of inherited intellectual disability and the most common known genetic cause of autism or autism spectrum disorders. It can cause learning and behavioral challenges ranging from mild to severe. Over 1,000,000 individuals nationwide have, or are at risk, of developing a Fragile X disorder.
