BENEFITING: Generation Ubuntu
EVENT DATE: Sep 29, 2013
My name is Andrea Sullivan and this is where you can support my participation in the Westchester Triathlon on behalf of Ubuntu Africa (UBA). I have been training for months and can't wait to compete on September 29th.
I was so inspired by meet Whitney Johnson, a young woman who left her life in the States for South Africa to start UBA to support HIV+ children, that I knew I had to do something. Learn more about their work by visiting their website: www.ubafrica.org.
This organization brings life-saving and life-thriving support and services to children who would otherwise be facing not only their disease, but the poverty, crime and other challenges in their community completely alone. I have learned from UBA that with the right care and support, HIV+ children can live the long, happy and healthy lives they deserve…and they are counting on US for the support they need to make it happen.
I need your help to reach my goal of raising $2,500- this money can support an HIV+ child in Ubuntu Africa's program for an entire year. So...are you with me?
