NYPD Lieutenant Andrew Childs is a fourth generation New York City police officer, a family tradition which dates back to 1938!
Growing up outside of Chicago with a heavy bag in his basement and boxing on television Andrew knows giving back to others is very important as he supports charities such as Ronald McDonald House, Wounded Warrior Foundation and the Green Beret Foundation. He also participates in toy drives for children during the holidays.
Lieutenant Childs has a big heart for helping, always serving others and giving back to those in need.
He serves the public each day as a hard working warrior and role model.
Andrew’s father, and personal hero battled courageously numerous heart surgeries for a chronic heart condition which, was tough on Andrew and a challenge for the entire family. Throughout everything, Andrew and his parents always shared a love for each other and boxing.
Lieutenant, we thank and honor you for what you do daily to keep us safe.
