Banksville Elementary School
We are a school huddled in the South Hills of Pittsburgh separated from many of Pittsburgh's other communities by rivers, hills, and mighty Mt. Washington, yet our student population is made up of children from 16 different nationalities from all over the world.
On the 18th of October, we will walk and embrace the many communities that make up our District's School System.
We are proud of our students who have benefitted from The Pittsburgh Promise, and on the 18th of October, we wish to make aware how special The Pittsburgh Promise is to past, present, and future students, as well as the families, who live in the city of "The Three Rivers".
As we enjoy our walk and experience some aches and pains, we will be reminded of the many challenges our diverse population experience on a daily basis.
Oxford Development issued a $10,000 Challenge to the walk. Help us raise $10,000 and we will unlock this incredibly generous gift!
All are also welcome and encouraged to join us on October 18th at the finish line of the walk, for a free celebration and cookout at Sci -Tech in Oakland around 1:30pm!
