The Committee… SAYS:
Hi, Andrew. I just wanted to…
Hi, Andrew. I just wanted to take this moment to thank you for your amazing donation. It’s making such a difference as I begin to put my life back together after my harrowing diagnosis.

It’s Easter, and though I’m not a formally religious person there’s a beautiful synergy with my situation and this time of year. When given my treatment plan by doctors last May, I charted the months and discovered that I’d be done with active treatment at the start of spring. Spring - a time of renewal. And today, Easter Sunday, is a day of resurrection. A rising above the surface which creates a whole new reality. It’s a silly little thing that I held onto through the cold and bleak months as I pushed through chemotherapy and radiation. I knew that by Spring I’d be done and I yearned for that sunlight - a possibility to begin again.

And here we are. I am so grateful to be alive and to get a chance to live a healthy life. I don’t know what the future will bring - many people have cancer relapses - but I do know that I have RIGHT NOW, and learning how to live in the present has been a huge gift.

So, what’s next? I’m putting even more focus and effort into my theater company, The Seeing Place. We have an amazing season planned with works that put a spotlight on issues we’re dealing with in society today - finding your own identity amidst “group think,” understanding the sacrifices of refugees, and examining the prison system to see if rehabilitation is indeed possible. We just put together a fun video explaining what we’re all about - it would be amazing if you could watch it here: www.theseeingplace.com

I’m also trying to rethink the rest of my acting career. I’ve just revealed to the world my new, short hair, which changes my “type” in ways I hadn’t been willing to face. Even though I love the pixie look my stylist created, it’s a distinct difference from the long blonde locks I had before, on which I had built my career. This is why I’ve been so grateful to The Seeng Place. Having a home that doesn’t care how you look makes creating art so much easier.

For anyone who wants to follow my adventures, I have a blog called The Erin Cronicals - www.erincronicals.com. And to see what The Seeing Place is up to, you can find us at www.TheSeeingPlace.com.

Thank you again for all of your support - if there’s anything I can do to return the favor, please let me know...

Love,

Erin :)
