Nicaragua is the 2nd poorest country in the entire western hemisphere. In Northern Nicaragua, the people residing in the small villages out in the country live on less than $1 per day. They have no access to healthcare or clean drinking water. Corner of Love has a long-term commitment to fix this.
We are traveling to San Ramon, Nicaragua for a mission trip at the end of this year. We will be setting up medical and dental clinics in 8 different villages to give needed healthcare to the poorest people in the region. Because there is no accessible healthcare, small ailments can be catastrophic. An infection that we would easily solve with antibiotics from the local pharmacy can be deadly. Someone has to help these people! That is what we are going to do.
In addition, we will be distributing Christmas stockings filled with toiletries, small toys, soap, snacks, and socks to the villagers. Finally, we'll distribute shoes to the children and adults who can't afford them. It is Nicaraguan law that children have shoes in order to go to school. Many families in the outlying villages cannot afford shoes for all of their children. Sometimes parents are faced with sending only one of their children to school. This is a terrible situation for all them. Children that cannot go to school have no chance of changing the cycle of poverty.
We need your help! Any donation will help.
$20.00 sends two kids to school with shoes or it will buy 26 doses of anti-parasite medication that will keep 26 people parasite free for 6 months.
$50 could treat an entire family's health care needs this holiday season and provide them with anti-parasite medication.
If you can help with a donation, we would really appreciate it and it will help bless these people in Nicaragua! God smiles when we all work together to serve the less fortunate. Thank you so much for making this trip possible.
