A New Hope For Nepal

THE STORY:

On April 25th, I woke up to a somber mood in my house. I was then told about the 7.9 magnitude earthquake that shook the country that I call home. Nepal, a small country landlocked between India and China, was being torn apart by the biggest earthquake it had seen since 1934.
My heart and mind immediately went out to my family, friends and all others whose lives were being torn apart by nature. I was told that my family was safe but as of now all we could do was wait.
Tremors occurred every hour and I sat in my house unable to do anything. Then we heard about the aftershocks, the 6.7 magnitude aftershock, and the 6.9 magnitude aftershock. My family and everyone else spent the entire night in cars and under trees because of heavy rain. Every single person suffered unimaginably and my heart wept with them.
The death toll has risen over 5000 and the Nepal army chief expects the death toll to be near the 15000 range. The help and rescue teams have barely gotten to the remote areas and villages. Countless are injured. Shelter is the biggest necessity as of now for the locals. Tents and portable houses are of need.
It is time for me to do my bit. I ask for your help as I wish to provide and help the locals of Nepal. I wish to help those who are injured, and homeless. I wish to help the children who have lost their parents. I wish to help those families who have lost a family member, and anyone is need.
I ask you to open up your hearts and donate. I assure you that a 100% of these donations will be used to help the victims directly by providing those in need with tents, medicines and more. Before I started this help link, me and my mother donated a combined $1000. We will be donating another $500. I personally have donated my entire savings of $600 because I know that every single cent counts.
I am not setting any goal. I do not wish to set a limit. I will continue doing this until I know that I have used every bit of energy to create all the awareness I can.
I will be going door to door, speaking in my school, urging my elder brother and sister to speak in their colleges and my parents at their work. I ask you to do the same. I do not care whether the donations come through me or another medium. I just urge you to help those in need.
Kathmandu, Nepal’s capital, has seen massive damage. An entire culture, an entire page of history is on the verge of being destroyed. Countless buildings the capitol was known for have fallen. Temples, statues, historic buildings, houses, streets and roads have been torn apart and fallen.
Help me help everyone back home.
