BENEFITING: AINSLEYSANGELS OF AMERICA
I have been a runner now for eight years. When people ask me why I run, my answer has always been "because my daughter, Hunter, can't." This past year I have had the opportunity to become involved with Ainsley's Angels, a wonderful organization that promotes the message of inclusion, and provides those who cannot run with the opportunity to "roll with the wind!" Together, Hunter and I have completed several races, and her joy in feeling the wind in her face and being cheered on and high-fived by spectators and volunteers is apparent in every fiber of her being. I have chosen to run the Marine Corps Marathon this year to raise funds for Ainsley's Angels, to help further spread their message and to allow more angel riders to have the opportunity to participate and feel the joy that my daughter has. Hunter will not be pulling me in the marathon because, well, mom is way too slow for her tolerance level. But as always, she will be with me every step of the way.
