Angels for Anniston
Organized by: Steve Reich
On August 5, 2014 a car turned into the path of Richard Schoeneck and 11 year old Anniston Jasch as they were headed down Clark Road in Sarasota. Floirda on a motorcycle. Richard died at the scene. Anniston was Life Flighted to All Children's Hospital in Tampa. She broke a leg, her ankle, and has a still to be determined back injury. Her mother lost her partner and is left with horror of seeing her child in great pain. Here is the most recent update from her mother, Kimberly:
"Anniston is out of surgery now, awake and alert. Her left femur was broken so badly she needed pins surgically placed to hold her leg together. Her right leg was cut pretty bad and needed to be surgically sewn back together. She is complaining of right ankle pain and low back pain now so more CT scans tomorrow. She is swollen, covered with bruises and road rash. She is in a lot of pain and is not ready for visitors....sorry girls BUT she is alive and I feel very blessed to still have her with me. I have not told Anniston about Richard yet. I wanted her to get through surgery first. I have asked Child Life specialists to help me tell her tomorrow. So she is banned right now from TV news, her iPod and phone until she finds out and can process what has happened."
This family has a huge physical, emotional, and spiritual journey ahead of them. As a single mother who absolutely worships her children, worships God, and loved Richard beyond words, she needs our help.
***THESE ARE THE FEW DETAILS I KNOW. I WILL ADD TO THIS AS MORE INFORMATION BECOMES AVAILABLE.***
Please consider giving all you can to help her mitigate her lost time from work, the mounting medical bills, or even just a toy for Anniston. Thanks so much!
