BENEFITING: DARE2TRI PARATRIATHLON CLUB
This year, I will be doing a Half-Ironman triathlon at the California Vineman and raising funds on behalf of Dare2tri Paratriathlon Club. Dare2tri works with athletes of all ability levels from beginner to elite serving youth, adults, and injured service members who have a physical disability such as amputation, spinal cord injury, stroke, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, and those with visual impairments and blindness. I participated in my first triathlon at the Escape from Alcatraz in 2015 and in the moment when fear got the best of me and I thought I wasn't going to survive the race, I witnessed an amputee para athlete swim to the shore with ease. That moment inspired me and gave me the motivation and inspiration I needed to sustain and get across the finish line. This year I intend to raise money on behalf of Dare2tri to continue to do the inspiring work they do for all those who dare to try.
