In lieu of celebrating my 27th year of birth with gifts, please join me in supporting the Orphan Justice Center to help more kids celebrate adoption into families.
Long story short - I have been following Derek and Renee Loux through their journey of growing their family through adoptions. This compassionate couple caught the vision to help restore families by adopting and raising them in an environment of love, prayer, and care. Their children come from all over - siblings from the Marshall Islands to disabled children from Eastern Europe. Sadly, Derek passed away 2 years ago in a tragic accident, leaving a hole in the family but also a legacy of inspiration for others. Renee has been moving forward with their dream to help others catch the fire of seeing the beauty of restoration in families.
My younger sister was able to spend 3 months in an intensive program, working with the Orphan Justice Center and families who receive services and support from them. She was able to experience the hardship and joys that come with working to restore these kids and families.
I am not in the place to adopt myself (yet), but I have such a heart to support those kids who are without a place to call home and parents to love and care for them.
The problems may seem too big for any one person to make a difference, but for those who dedicate their lives to work for justice - every bit is huge encouragement to keep going!
If you can, I would love for you to support OJC by donating 27 cents, or $2.70, or $27.00. If I can get 15 people to donate $27, I will have reached my goal of $405!
Thank you for loving me, and making a mark in these kids' lives.
