Angie's African Library Project
Organized by: Angelina Mah
Children in Africa aren't able to receive a proper education from lack of appropriate educational help. Here in the U.S, we are able to expand our knowledge from over the hundred thousand libraries we have. If we are able to able to increase our literacy from the variety of books here, children in Africa should have the opportunity to learn in a library too. My African Library Project is in Sierra Leone for Evangelical Agric SS School. This project is exciting, since this is the only book drive matched with this school. The Evangelical Agric SS School accounts for 1,500 students, but unfortunately only has 200 books to provide for the students. With the help of the project, we will be able to provide a book for each student with extra to read. By having a library with books to provide for students, they will be able to "play a role of leadership and accountability." The Evangelical Agric SS School would be beyond grateful for a library that can spread knowledge to students. Donations would be used for the shipment of books to the warehouse in the East Coast in order to resort the books and also for the shipment of the books then to Africa. Donations would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
