EVENT DATE Oct 16, 2016

Last September our Godlendoodle Bear lost his fight against osteosarcoma right before his 9th birthday, we were devistated. However, with the help of the Canton Center Animal Hospital and the Animal Cancer & Imagining Center we were able to make Bear comfortable in his final months. Cancer treatment for a pet is very expensive and I'd like to donate all fund raised through running the Detroit Free Press/Talmer Bank Half-Marathon to the Animal Cancer & Imagining Center to help offset the cost of treatment for all or one of its current patients.

The Animal Cancer & Imaging Center is a free-standing cancer treatment center whose sole purpose is to help pets with cancer. It provides state of the art cancer treatment in an atmosphere of excellence and compassion. The center is committed to providing the most up to date information and treatments available in order to develop more effective and less toxic methods of treating cancer. It is their goal to pursue excellence in the educational and developmental efforts within our specialties. The center strives to perform with the highest ethical standards in a responsible manner with particular emphasis on the welfare of the animal.
