One of Team Talmer’s best qualities is our giving spirit! In recognition of your generosity, Talmer is once again pleased to support Casual for a Cause Fridays!
This year, we hope to raise $50,000 for 50 different nonprofit organizations (50 for 50). CrowdRise gives us the opportunity to list multiple causes, at any given time, giving you more options to earmark your donation.
In an effort to increase our reach, we’ll update the list of nonprofit organizations throughout the year. Once an organization reaches $1,000 in charitable donations, we’ll replace it with another one from the list that employees submitted.
How it Works:
For every $10 donation you make to a nonprofit of your choice (listed on this site), you may wear jeans to work on any 2 payday Fridays of your choice.
CrowdRise will be accessible throughout the year (except during our Talmer has Heart campaign), allowing you flexibility to donate to a nonprofit of your choice, when you want.

Casual for a Cause FAQs
1. Do I have the option of making one donation to receive jeans days for the entire year, and if so, how much do I need to donate?
Yes. A $95 donation on the CrowdRise website will entitle you to wear jeans on all of the Casual for a Cause Fridays (see the dates above).
2. I don’t see my nominated nonprofit organization on the CrowdRise website. How do I know if it will appear on CrowdRise in the future? How were the nonprofit organizations selected?
Team Talmer originally nominated over 150 nonprofit organizations that employees then voted on to be included in the Casual for a Cause Campaign. The nonprofits selected were based on the number of votes received, while ensuring fair distribution among the Talmer regions.
We have a list of the remaining nonprofit organizations that will be included in this year’s campaign; however, we are still in the process of validating their participation. Once we have a final and validated list, we will share it with all of Team Talmer.
In the meantime, if you would like to know if your nominated organization will (most likely) be appearing on the CrowdRise website in the future, please send an email to Jenny Kadri at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will be happy to let you know.
3. Do I need to let someone know when I’ve donated? As a manager, should I be tracking whether or not my employees have paid to wear jeans?
No to both questions. We trust our employees to be honest and do the right thing in all aspects of their job, which includes a charitable donation for a jeans day. This campaign is the result of your feedback. We’ve heard loud and clear that you WANT to do this, so this it’s up to you to take advantage and make it a success!
4. Will I receive documentation from CrowdRise for tax purposes?
Yes. Once you donate, you will receive an email containing a receipt for your donation. Also, if you elect to create an account with CrowdRise, the website will store your donation history, which will allow you to print one document showing all of your donations at the end of the year.
5. What are the benefits of setting up a CrowdRise account?
When you set up a CrowdRise account, the website will retain your donation history, you can begin earning CrowdRise points that can be used to get CrowdRise merchandise, and you can easily share details about your donations via social media.
