“Life doesn't suck” notes Anjali Lewis the Associate Publisher, Creative Services at Vanity Fair.
A Brooklynite by way of of Thailand, she arrived in the U.S. at the ripe old age of 6. Not knowing a word of English, she picked up the native tongue partially by watching PBS as a child.
Her mom, her hero, encouraged Anjali to always see opportunity and never allow setbacks to set her off course in reaching personal goals.
It seems she made good on that, going from knowing nary a word to publishing for one of the most revered magazines out there.
Positivity, focus and hard work have brought her great success and also inspired her to live charitably. Always concerned for others and lending a hand whenever she’s needed, she’s excited to have the the opportunity to get in the ring on behalf of Fighters4Life.
Having trained at Gleason’s with Alicia Ashley for awhile now, boxing has served as a much needed stress reliever and way to keep her grounded. Not to mention that the support and love she’s received from other boxers has become an integral part of her life.
Outside the gym Anjali has written quite a story for herself too, having a wonderful marriage to her best friend. They have a 25 year old son whom she calls their greatest accomplishment and whose evolution into a successful young man has made them both exceptionally proud.
Life definitely doesn't suck.
