Organized entirely by students, Dance Marathon (DM2012) is a brand-spankin’-new program that takes inspiration from philanthropic initiatives at other universities throughout the country. It is a six-hour celebration that brings UC Riverside students, staff, faculty, and entertainers together in order to raise funding and awareness for the Guardian Scholars program which provides the gift of education to former foster youth.
This year’s event will be on Febuary 25, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. – midnight
At the Student Recreation Center.
All proceeds from DM2012 will go directly to help former foster youth here at UC Riverside.
In addition to raising funds for an amazing cause, DM2012 also strives to inspire the tradition of philanthropy on the UCR campus, uniting highlanders in support of higher education. By participating in DM2012, students are heeding the call to step up and make a difference.
We invite you to learn more about DM2012 and join us to help benefit the lives of emancipated youth.
