Per completing 4 half marathons, 3 10K runs, and 4 5K runs, I decided this year would be the year I run a full marathon. 26.2 miles. 42 km. As an avid runner and wildlife advocate, I decided to run the Safaricom Marathon at the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya. This is one of the most difficult, but amazing marathons in the world. A chance to run wild. A chance to make a difference. A chance to support the wildlife conservation as a catalyst to invest in sustainable development, education, healthcare and wildlife. This initiative supports wildlife conservation in Lewa, Mount Kenya, Masai Mara, Tsavo and more. Along with wildlife conservation, the Lewa Education Program supports 19 schools and over 13,000 children. Please help to support the wildlife preservation, education and sustainable development that this initiative moves towards, and my journey over the next few months to run 42K on June 24, 2017. See more information about the marathon here: https://www.safaricommarathon.com/ Your support is benefiting endangered species, the environment, educational programs, Africa, and future generations to continue experiences such as these.
