BENEFITING: Friends of the MS Achievement Center
EVENT: The Race to Nowhere 2016
EVENT DATE: Feb 27, 2016
I have been a participant of the MS Achievement Center for 4 years. We meet once a week for 5 hours of physical and occupational therapy, emotional support, and health related activities. This unique wellness programming has changed my life. It allows me and others like me to maintain and optimize our quality of life. I especially value this program since I have been in a wheelchair since 2007.
This year is especially exciting as we are moving to our own space at KU Medical Center in April, which will allow us to grow the program and include more participants. Each participant pays a monthly fee. In order to keep the fees affordable to all, most of the expenses for the MSAC are covered by grants and donations.
On Saturday, February 27, the MSAC is having our annual Race-To-Nowhere fundraiser, a timed stationary bike “race”. To donate, click the DONATE button on the right. Or, if you prefer, you can mail a check to KU MSAC, Landon Center, 3599 Rainbow Blvd, Mail Stop 3049,
Kansas City, KS 66160 write “Ann Edwards / Race” in the memo space.
All donations are tax deductible.
