I watched my 5 children achieve their milestones: go to college, become independent and go into the world.
Imagine your child never achieving these milestones.
Imagine being Eva: pretty, active, innocent, struggling with simple everyday tasks.
Imagine regressing instead of progressing
Families of these children try to imagine what life would be without Rett Syndrome.
Eva Fini is one of these children.
Rett Syndrome is the most physically disabling of the autistic spectrum disorders primarily affecting girls. It usually strikes about 18 months of age. The child loses acquired skills, normal development and speech.
The long term regression may lead to a wheelchair, inability to communicate, loss of functional use of her hands, anxiety, tremors, and seizures.
Please help me help them.
I am running the Hambletonian Marathon in Goshen on October 20th to raise money for Rett Syndrome Research.
My goal is $100 per mile for a total of $2620.
Please help make this happen!
