BENEFITING: BORGEN PROJECT
The Borgen Project is a non-profit that advocates for the world’s poor and is working to make poverty a focus of US foreign policy. With over 200 volunteers throughout the United States, we operate through four major strategies: building awareness of global issues, educating citizens on basic advocacy, mobilizing people across the US to share their voice in Congress, and advocating to make poverty a political priority.
I'm an intern at this great organization where I have learned so much about the connection between U.S. national security and economy with global poverty. Along with writing articles (http://www.borgenmagazine.com/author/annie-jung/), part of my job is to raise money that will go toward improving living standards around the world.
Please note that all donations go directly into the official account of The Borgen Project, which will be used to organize meetings with senators and improve both federal and public response to global poverty crisis! For more information, please visit: http://borgenproject.org/
