Hello everyone! My parents are celebrating their 25th Anniversary this Friday!!! It's something to celebrate because throughout the past 25 years they've experienced the birth of two children, two heart attacks, surviving cancer, moving multiple times, pastoring a church, being co-workers at a boyscout camp, and many more experiences! In all of my life I don't remember them celebrating or making a big deal out of their anniversary. They are humble people who choose to serve others instead of themselves on a regular basis (if you know them, you know what I mean!). Their dream of going on a cruise won't be realized because it costs a lot of money :/ I'm a poor grad student and have no money to help with something like that:/ SO.....I was wondering if any of you would be willing to help me provide a cheaper anniversary experience: a night and a day at the beautiful Renaissance hotel in Orlando. My mom originally wanted to go on a cruise because it was relaxing and you didn't have to drive anywhere to find something to do. The Renaissance has a beautiful and relaxing lobby, garden, and pool that they could relax at and read, catch up (since they currently live in two different states right now), etc. The cost breakdown is this: ~$200- hotel room for one night that includes buffet breakfast -$40 for parking (I still can't believe they charge $20 each day for this...) -$50 for gas to get to Orlando from St. Augusitne -$50 to go somewhere nice to dinner I'd love to be able to surprise them with this, but we only have a few days to get the amount!! Please consider helping if you've been impcated by my parents!! Much appreciated!! ~Laura
P.S. If you donate, comment with a memory you have with my parents! I'll share it with them when I reveal the surprise!
