Another Victim to Cancer
Organized by: David Stoudenmire
In 2010, my siblings and I lost our Father due to a failed healthcare system. He was unable to receive treatment that could have saved his life--we believe. Five years later in 2015 we had to say goodbye to our Mother due to cancer. The doctors are still unsure what type of cancer because it was metastasized all over her abdomen. The Doctors were leaning towards pancreatic cancer, because it is hard to catch and there are no symptoms until it is too late. By the time my Mother felt any symptoms, her organs had already begun to bleed internally, which caused swelling in her abdomen. When the surgeons opened her stomach to relieve pressure, that’s when they found the aggressive cancer at stage 4. My Mother did not get the chance to fight the cancer because she could not make it through the acute phase and could not stop bleeding. All help is needed to ensure she receives a proper burial, as our family is struggling economically at the moment. God Bless Everyone.
