Anthony De Marinis
My name is Anthony De Marinis. In 2007 I was asked to volunteer with some children with Autism in a non-profit school store I created. Little did I know that this volunteer work would bring me on an amazing jounrney!
My volunteer work gave me the opportunity to win scholarships and awards like the Yoshiyama Award from the Hitachi Foundation. I was 1 of 10 High School seniors selected out of 10,000 students to win the 2007 award for Community Service.
In 2008, while at college, I developed a non-profit called the Life Skills for Life Foundation. I saw the need to develop different programs, community service projects and business ventures for people of all ages with developmental disabilities focusing on 3 critical areas: Life Skills, Job Skills and Social Skills.
After graduating college in 2011, before starting my foundation, I decided to concentrate on finding a job/career, while still volunteering my time with local non-profits.
This spring I was able to secure an office space for this summer (2014) to start the Life Skills for Life Foundation. We will be starting various programs and community service projects this summer. We will be working with local businesses and other non-profits to provide these programs and projects.
Please help me by donating money to this great cause!
