BENEFITING: Lewa Wildlife Conservancy USA
Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is raising funds to purchase an anti-poaching patrol aircraft that utilizes inexpensive fuel and infrared cameras to conduct nighttime anti-poaching patrol flights to eradicate poaching in East Africa for good. Lewa officials will be able to identify any persons that are out of place on the conservancy and prevent illegal poaching before the unthinkable happens
Poaching is occurring at such an alarming rate we could see the extinction of Rhinos and Elephants in the African wild within the next decade. Poachers are driven by the price of ivory in eastern black markets where ivory elephant tusks and rhino horns sell for four times the price of gold per ounce. Because poaching is so lucrative, poachers use advanced techniques, night vision goggles, and silenced weapons and chain saws to carry out the poaching, often leaving the Rhinos alive to suffer.
If 100,000 people donate $10.00, Lewa will be able to achieve their 1 million dollar goal to purchase the surveillance equippment and aircraft.
