Miks Hidden Hearts Alliance wrote -I founded the Anti-PROM 5 years ago after becoming a homebound chronically ill teen and realizing the need to outreach to others to help them not feel alone and missing fun teen experiences like prom. With my team of volunteers, we are planning the 5th annual Anti-PROM to be held at the Magnolia Hotel in Houston, Tx on April 30, 2017 and we need your help to make it a big success! This prom is extra special because we plan it with our guests health limitations in mind. We have a casino night so everyone can have fun while sitting down. Every single one of our chronically-ill guests go home with big prizes and swag bags which contain gifts from businesses in our community and MHHA inspired gifts. Our guests love the opportunity to dress up (our prom dresses and tuxedos are donated!) and be among new and old friends who understand their world. Each chronically ill guest is allowed to bring one friend with them and the entire event is offered at no charge for them. We greatly rely on the generosity of donors to help fund this event. Our annual Boo Bash helps to fundraise for this event, along with our October Donation Campaign. We appreciate your consideration and help!
