I'm excited and grateful to participate in this year's hike to benefit Shelter Inc., which helps fight homelessness in our community. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2014  from 8:00am -3:00pm

MT. DIABLO STATE PARK

SHELTER, Inc. is hosting its Fifth Annual Hike for SHELTER to end homelessness in Contra Costa County on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Mt. Diablo State Park in Danville.

 

Hike for SHELTER is for all ages and abilities, from walkers to seasoned hikers. We are offering three trails, from a 2.4-mile family hike to a 6.8-mile summit hike! A post-hike celebration will follow complete with lunch, music, crafts, local celebrity speakers and fundraising prizes. Your generous support will help us increase awareness and raise funds for the thousands of homeless families in Contra Costa County.

 

You can register and start your fundraising page here through Crowdrise.org. It only takes seconds to start and is a fun way to ask family, friends and co-workers to support your efforts for SHELTER, Inc.

Prizes will be awarded for the most funds raised by an individual and a group.

Ticket costs:

• Registration cost – $25 per person (under 5 years old is free)

• Individual Fundraising Minimum - $250 per adult (no min. for children under 18)

• Group Fundraising Minimum -$500 (for groups of 2 or more - no min. for children under 18)

• No pets, please!

All proceeds benefit SHELTER, Inc. We are an independent, non-profit organization working to prevent and end homelessness among low-income residents of Contra Costa County. We are a full service agency focusing on prevention, promoting self-sufficiency and providing housing to those in need. SHELTER, Inc. has an 87% success rate and helped over 5,200 men, women and children a year stay off the streets just last year. SHELTER, Inc.’s federal tax ID number is 68-0117241.
