BENEFITING: THE CENTER FOR ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICAN WOMEN
APAWLI XX Campaign: Step Into the Circle of the Firelight
We are the National Asian Pacific American Women's Leadership Institute (APAWLI) Class of 2015. With the help of the leadership training APAWLI provides, we have the courage to change the world, and shape the world into what we believe it could be.
APAWLI is playing a large role in helping us tap into our individual power to become even more effective leaders. Here are some of the ways that APAWLI Fellows-in-Training are making a difference in the world:
- We champion social justice and higher education for first-generation students.
- We assist communities and organizations with financial literacy.
- We ensure that the voices of domestic violence survivors are not silenced.
This is what we want to do:
Raise $20,000 in celebration of APAWLI's 20th (double-X) anniversary in 2015.
We invite you to celebrate APAWLI's "XX" (double-X / 20th) anniversary. We hope you join us in raising funds for scholarships to support future Fellows-in-Training as they participate in the APAWLI program next year.

APAWLI Fellows-in-Training 2015 Class Poem
Will we have the courage to see the world
and understand its stories, perspectives, and people?
We have the courage to change the world,
and shape the world into what we believe it could be.
We are not different from our ancestors.
The circle of life still beckons for our presence and our engagement.
Strength. Hope. Love.
These things multiply and nourish us.
This is what it means to be human.
To let others see you as you see you.
The key is to not be afraid.
Step into the circle of the firelight.
