BENEFITING: LOST LAKE RUN
EVENT DATE: Aug 26, 2017
What is the Lost Lake Run, you ask?
Well, the Lost Lake Breath of Life Run is a mountain race to raise money to benefit those with Cystic Fibrosis.
Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited disorder that causes SEVERE damage to the lungs and digestive system as well as other organs in the body. There is no cure for cystic fibrosis, but treatment can ease symptoms and reduce complications. Managing cystic fibrosis is a complex and life long process.
Every state in the U.S. now routinely screens newborns for Cystic Fibrosis. Early diagnosis means treatment can begin immediately! These and many other improvements in screenings and treatments mean people with cystic fibrosis now may live into their mid- to late 30's, on average, and some are even living into their 40's and 50's!!
Anchorage Pediatric Group (APG) has been helping to Grow Healthy Alaskans for over 60 years. And we don't plan to stop anytime soon. We strive everyday to make a positive difference in the lives of not only OUR patients, but everyone around us. This Lost Lake Run isn't just a fun run through the woods for us, it's way to further help those in need. We ask you, the most valued people in our lives, to help us keep the community we hold so dear, happy and healthy. Whether it's $10 or $200, your donation will help so many!
Anchorage Pediatric Group Partners will match up to $2,500 in donations.
*100% of collected funds go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a nonprofit donor-supported organization. They are seeking the means to cure and control Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.
