THE STORY:

I have a very big dream but many life situations that are keeping me from reaching it.
I want to become a Neonatal Surgeon and go on to develop an organization that constantly sends out a rotation of doctors - of all kinds, in all different medical fields - that goes to different countries to help with any kinds of medical needs. I want this to also be a med student internship opportunity. This would provide doctors with the opportunity to both use their ability and their passion for helping people AND the opportunity to see new and undocumented cases while encountering new challenges.
I am currently in the University of Tennessee - Knoxville, studying Neuroscience and getting my Pre-Med's. I have encountered a major obstacle though. I have half of my tuition paid and I have in-state tuition but I am in a financial crisis. I am a single mother and I have a great job opportunity, but without daycare for my son, I can't work. And without work, I can't pay for daycare. I don't know very many people because I don't own a car so I don't get out and without a car I can't go to work or take my son to daycare (the bus system here is underdeveloped, time consuming and still quite costly). I had someone watching my son but he is leaving on 1/15/2014. Also, I have 15 hours of class a semester. Without daycare and a car you can see how this is a big problem. I got a 3.78 GPA in highschool and graduated at 16 through self-motivation and determination. I strongly believe that I will be able to reach my end goal but I need your help! Daycare costs $800/month. All I need is help paying for daycare so I can work and pay bills and have time to study. Thank you in advance! Every bit helps!
