BENEFITING: FRIENDS OF ARAVIND
A rural eye care center in India will give people access to basic eye care that can truly change their life. If they have a more severe issue, like blindness caused by treatable cataracts, they can receive free transportation to a proper Aravind hospital and have their sight restored. The center costs 15,000 to start up, and is a self-sustaining business afterwards, helping the community in it's own small way. The goal of Aravind is to make paying for eyecare in India completely optional. At Aravind, If you think can't afford it, you don't have to pay a rupee. More information on the website below:
