Vision Statement

The Arc of El Paso envisions a society and culture that values and supports individuals with different abilities to pursue full and productive lives.

Mission Statement

The Arc of El Paso, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is committed to providing high quality, caring, efficient home and community-based services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), their families and caregivers.

Core Values

People First – We believe that people with IDD are defined by their strengths, abilities, and inherent values, and not by their disability.

Equity – We believe that people with IDD are entitled to the respect, dignity, equality, safety, and security accorded to other members of society, and are equal before the law.

Community – We believe that people with IDD belong in the community and have fundamental moral, civil and constitutional rights to be fully included and actively participate in all aspects of society.

Self-determination – We believe in self-determination and self-advocacy. With appropriate resources and supports, people with IDD can make decisions about their lives and must be heard on issues that affect their well-being.
