I am thrilled to once again have the honor of running with our brave Marines in the 39th Marine Corps Marathon on October 26th. I am deeply grateful for your support in raising funds to further the mission of the American Red Cross in the National Capital Region.
As you may know, the American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. One of our founding initiatives is our Service to the Armed Forces. For more than 130 years, we have provided comfort and support to members of the United States military.
We are proud to support our armed forces and are there every step of the way for our military families, through resiliency programs, emergency services and management, morale and therapy programs in military hospitals and clinics and life after the military, with services and support in VA hospitals, disability assistance and workshops for reintegration into the community.
The incredible generosity of donors like you enables us to provide these services and help those in need. Thank you for all that you do! If you would like to learn more about the work the Red Cross is doing, please visit redcross.org or visit us on Twitter at @RedCross.
With a full heart,
