I am both a Trauma Nurse and a runner. This year I have the joy and privilege of combining my passion for running with support for my patients! On Sunday, October 26th I am running the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington DC with the American Red Cross Team. Will you help me reach my goal of raising $500 for the Red Cross?
I work at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland, where I daily encounter the vital necessity of blood and blood products. My patients are people just like you - business executives, students, construction workers, athletes, parents and children who have been in tragic accidents - and their lives depend on this blood. The Red Cross collects 5.6 million blood donations a year, making it the nation's largest blood collection organization. I know your hard-earned cash is precious. Please consider donating to the American Red Cross. I have the incredible privilege of personally watching your money literally save lives!
I am grateful and humbled by your choice to support me in this endeavor. My heartfelt thanks to each of you!
The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies about 40 percent of the nation's blood; teaches skills that save lives; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a not-for-profit organization that depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission. For more information, please visit Redcross.org.
