Think for a moment of all of your day to day trips in your car. Errands, to the movies, a drive on a beautiful day. Now imagine you no longer could drive, due to a physical limitation. Uncontrollable limbs. You still have all of the needs to drive- groceries, doctor appointments. You still have all the desires to go. You depend on others to take you where you need, to load your wheelchair in and out, to take you back and forth. BUT YOU STILL CAN GO. The simple freedom that transportation gives.

The Arc of the Emerald Coast is a non-profit that serves over 450 men, women and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome and Spina Bifida in Santa Rosa, Okaloosa & Walton Counties.  Our mission is "To create a path from disability to capability". We operate a  fleet of 30 handicapped accessible vans, used to take those we serve to jobs, to doctors, on outings, shopping, all of the uses of vehicles that we all enjoy and take for granted. And these vans are wearing out; all save 1, recently donated by a Good Samaritan, have mileage in excess of 130,000 miles.

The Arc of the Emerald Coast has the ability to meet the transportation needs of these most deserving citizens through your Giving Tuesday donation! There is no donation too small; each and every dollar raised will be put towards the purchase of new vans.

Please help. Think for a moment.
