Hi friends, thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Donations help to go fight animal cancer. You can help us reach our goal of $2,000 as we train for this 5k walk/run.
About us: Luke, Chloe, and Chip are friends who met in the dog park. Luke is a lab mix, Chloe is a Miniature Australian Shepherd, and Chip is a terrior mix. They enjoy having play dates, eating snacks, tug-of-war, and playing tag. If you're wondering why our team name is the title of the hit song by artist Kelis from 2003, it's because Chloe seems to attract all the male dogs in the dog park and "My Milkshake Brings all the Boys to the Yard" is her theme song.
So help support us fight animal cancer. No donation is too small. The humans and dogs on this team will be working hard training for this 5k, and we thank you all for your support!

The Joshua Louis Animal Cancer Foundation (“JLACF”) is a 501(c)(3), all-volunteer, non-profit organization launched in 2011 that aims to fight cancer in pets. The JLACF has two missions: (i) to raise money for the treatment of cancer in animals when owners are unable to afford the cost of cancer therapy, and (ii) to educate pet owners about the advances that have been made in the field of Oncology within Veterinary Medicine.
Unfortunately the cost of cancer therapy may be unaffordable for some, and with the advances made in Veterinary Oncology, everyone at the JLACF believes that no pet should be denied access to the benefits of such therapy. Treating cancer in pets allows their family to spend more quality time with their loved ones, which in turn benefits pet owners – numerous studies have documented the physical and psychological benefits of the human-animal bond, and no family should be limited to helping their animals fight cancer simply due to the financial restrictions.
Dr. Joshua Louis Lachowicz, one of the co-founders of the JLACF, is one of a few hundred board-certified Veterinary Oncologists in the United States. His vision and dedication to animals (and people) is providing Families with hope. Dr. Joshua understands that the cost of cancer therapy can be prohibitive for many.
“We have the medial knowledge” states Dr. Joshua, “Nothing is worse than having a Client tell you that they want to help their pet, but they cannot afford it—at the JLACF we want to change that, but we also understand that we need the support of many to make that a reality”. In his ‘spare’ time, Dr. Joshua is also a singer-songwriter that donates the profits from all of his music sales to the JLACF. Much of his music is inspired by his work as a Veterinary Oncologist, and it also allows him to use his musical talents to help animals in need.
Having the medical knowledge and ability to effectively combat cancer is a reality. However, when caregivers cannot afford to fulfill the financial obligation of cancer therapy in their loved ones, the practice of medicine takes on an entirely new challenge. The JLACF serves to bridge the gap between what is medically possible and what was once unfeasible for many.
The JLACF hosts various fundraisers to raise money for the cause. Because the JLACF has no employee costs and minimal administrative costs, virtually every dollar raised goes directly to benefit animals with cancer. Last year alone the JLACF granted over $60,000 to benefit families in need!
