Ari's mission to Thailand and Cambodia
Organized by: Ariana Gutierrez
Hi everyone! For those of you who do not know me, my name is Ari and I am a nursing student at Grand Canyon University. I am about 6 months away from graduating and have been presented with an opportunity to change lives after graduation in April. I am hoping with your help to go on a mission trip to Thailand and Cambodia to bring love and safety to women and children who have been trafficked in red light districts.I am going with a group of about 35 other students for a 2 week trip to bring love and self-worth to those who have been victimized in the sex industry. These women and children have been sold into sex and labor in order to provide for their families, they feel hopeless and worthless, and I want to make relationships to strengthen their relationship with God and the world around them. I am hoping that I might be able to go there and bring God's love, and show them how worthy and beautiful they truly are. This population is one I am passionate about and I feel like this opportunity presented itself as a way for me to bring my love and positivity to those in greatest need of it. The organization I am working with is called Destiny Rescue and has made it their mission to go out and save these women and children from the red light districts, bring them to safety and help rebuild their lives. They offer housing, education, and jobs to end the cycle and allow them to make a living doing something enjoyable and profitable. This organization sells many of the crafts that are made by the women which supports their families. I am so honored to have been chosen for this trip, and am praying that I will be able to see it happen. Thank you in advance for any donation whether it be money, prayers, or even just sharing this post. I am incredibly grateful for your participation in making this once in a lifetime opportunity into a reality.
