BENEFITING: SUSAN G. KOMEN MASSACHUSETTS
As many of you know, Ryan and Angie Ketchum currently live in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and are missionaries for the Church of the Nazarene (see link http://web.nazarene.org/site/TR?pg=fund&fr_id=1090&pxfid=2410). On October 20th Angie went to a local clinic for an ultrasound and mammogram, after finding a lump in her left breast. The results of the tests were very concerning, and after consulting with several health professionals they made the decision to go to Thailand for further investigations.
Ryan and Angie arrived in Bangkok on Sunday, October 28, 2012, and had initial doctor appointments at Bumrungrad International Hospital. Their four girls stayed in Cambodia in the care of dear friends. On Tuesday Angie had a core biopsy, and on Wednesday it was confirmed that she has invasive ductal carcinoma - the most common type of breast cancer.
As missionaries, Ryan and Angie are funded almost completely by sponsor and support aid from friends and family around the world. They live on frugal means by most standards in the world, and are great stewards of what God gives them. Their insurance is taking care of them for portions of their now increasing medical bills, but insurance cannot take care of all medical bills. It also does not cover air travel to and from Thailand or boarding, of which will now be a regular occurrence for recovery, continued care from surgery, and for chemo and radiation. We need you to stand in the gap financially for them while they trust our healing Father in heaven to take them the rest of the way.
Will you give?
