I'm going to be participating in the world record for "Largest Rainbow Parade" lead by engergetic color extraordinaire Jessi Arrington (see video). I've done the parade once, and I can't wait to do it again as a reason to raise money for Eyebeam, a tech + art incubator with tons of cool programs for kids and adults. I became a huge fan of the organization when Evan Roth, an inaugural Senior Fellow in Eyebeam’s R&D OpenLab, came in to my New Media class to speak. Inspiration overload.
IN NYC? PARADE WITH ME on Saturday, April 28! RSVP here: largestrainbowparade.eventbrite.com
Why Eyebeam rocks:
Eyebeam has supported some 245 fellowships and residencies for artists and creative technologists; we've run an active education program for youth, artists' professional development and community outreach; and have mounted an extensive series of public programs, over recent years approximately 4 exhibitions and 40 workshops, performances and events annually.
