Art Douglas, a disability retiree, in a wheelchair from Post-Polio, stands taller than most men in his commitment to make his passion impact many lives for good. This will be Art's 40th year doing taxes and when he had to retire after 20 years of Accounting for MD State, he formed an IRS recognized tax-exempt non-profit organization, to provide professional tax preparation, e-filing and self-employment counseling to low-income individuals and families. He annually e-files over 7,500 returns and wants funds to triple that figure. "I use my skills with passion to change lives. I have seen folks go from having nothing to being a home owner with the cooperation of local cash and banking partners. We could use $50,000 to reach out to others in and around Baltimore and market our free service to many more who are in desperate need of professional business and tax preparation expertise free of charge.
