Arzuw means dream in Turkmen language, and this summer we are dreaming big! We’re bringing the Arzuw Foundation community all over the world together to run an Around-the-World Marathon this summer to support the Arzuw Foundation and show unity for Turkmen students pursuing the dream of an education.
Turkmen students face incredible obstacles to achieving a college education and we are the only organization in the world solely focused on helping them make their dreams a reality.
About the Team:
Sarah Lange, Executive Director of the Arzuw Foundation, will be running a 1/2 Marathon in Nashville, TN on September 28. Every step of those 13.1 miles will be dedicated to improving the educational opportunities of Turkmen students!
Sari Long, Development Director of the Arzuw Foundation, will be racing in a 1/2 IronMan triathlon in Zell-am-See, Austria on September 1. She'll swim 1.2 miles, bike 56 miles, and run 13.1 miles. Her eyes will be on the prize - supporting Turkmen students' dreams of a college education.
Cynthia Werner, an Arzuw supporter, will be running the Bryan-College Station 2013 Marathon on December 8. Not only will Cythina be racing 26.2 miles hoping to qualify for the Boston Marathon, she will be running because she believes in a brighter future for the children of Central Asia.
