BENEFITING: Utah Youth Village
EVENT DATE: Sep 01, 2016
Utah Youth Village is providing direct aid to young victims of domestic abuse and neglect as well as needed support for refugee children of war-torn origins. Utah Youth Village works to create a normal home experience for both the child and family. An array of services includes a network of special treatment foster homes that provide stress relief and therapy for youth along with adaptive behavior counseling for families. Most youth are able to return to their natural homes after treatment but for those unable, adoption services are provided. For refugee youth that have lost their parents to the ravages of war, Utah Youth Village works in partnership with United Nations High Commission for Refugees and Catholic Comunity Services to foster and find adoptive homes. The work being done by Utah Youth Village is creating a new life for young people that will make a difference for generations to come. ASCENT 4 UTAH YOUTH VILLAGE is a fundraising challenge to raise money and awareness for the kids. A team of climbers lead by Charles Ryon will attempt the summit of Mount Rainier in Washington. This climb will symbolize the meeting of a challenge with mind, desire and action. The funds raised will pay for the things all kids want but are in limited supply: bicycles, books, scooters, ipods, longboards, and puzzles. There are almost two-hundred kids in the care of Utah Youth Village and these items will go a long way to support their well-being. Please donate. All contributions matter. A goal of $2,500 is achievable with your support. Utah Youth Village could not exist without the generosity of those willing to help.
