A Season Finale and Farewell to Maestro Hobart
EVENT DATE: Apr 30, 2017
On Sunday, April 30, Max Hobart will make his final appearance as Music Director of the Boston Civic Symphony. For this momentous occasion, he has chosen to conduct Mahler's Symphony No. 1 - "Titan." Max’s thirty-eight-year tenure as Music Director is one of the longest for any symphony orchestra conductor in history. Simply put, he has made the Boston Civic Symphony the great orchestra that it is, and will continue to be. In honor of this historic occasion, we are hoping to raise $10,000 to support both the Civic's - and Max's - -continuing mission of bringing the finest in classical music to the people of greater Boston and beyond. Donors who contribute $100 or more will receive two tickets to the April 30 concert, plus an invitation to a special post-concert reception honoring Max.
